The Challenge

The client wanted to build more than a directory of beauty salons—they envisioned a premium platform where users could easily discover salons, stylists, and beauty professionals through an elegant and trustworthy experience. The challenge was to create a product that felt modern, scalable, and visually distinctive while supporting future growth across international markets.

At the same time, the platform needed a powerful backend that would allow administrators and businesses to manage content efficiently without sacrificing performance or usability.

The Approach

I led the project from concept to implementation, creating the complete brand identity, UX/UI system, and responsive website design. Every part of the experience was designed to feel clean, editorial, and intuitive, helping users browse salons and professionals with minimal friction.

Beyond the design, I developed the entire platform on WordPress using a custom-built theme rather than a pre-made template. I also designed and implemented a personalized user dashboard, allowing registered users to manage their profiles and interact with the platform through a seamless account experience. The architecture was built to be flexible, scalable, and easy to maintain as the platform grows.

The Outcome

The result was a fully custom digital platform that combines branding, product design, and development into one cohesive experience. Instead of a standard listing website, My Salon Guide became a scalable product with its own visual identity and custom functionality tailored to the needs of both users and administrators.

This project demonstrates my ability to take ownership of the entire product lifecycle—from branding and UX strategy to frontend design, WordPress development, custom theme creation, and user account systems.
